Once might expect that someone whose very essence is stained black by the Void would be dour and dark of demeanor.. yet Eleanore is surprisingly buoyant and bright.

She loves to socialize with others, but doesn't pay any heed to status. She's just as, if not more likely to be found deep in conversation with the poor as she is the prominent and prosperous.

Her compassion for others is also her main driving force. Her desire to help and protect those around her can be seen in all that she does - from free clinics to her efforts to rid the night of the monsters that hunt within it.

Eleanore is glad to offer her medical skills and knowledge to those who are down on their luck. In fact, she often holds clinics in more destitute areas across Eorzea where she sees all patients for free.

Thus, it is not difficult for those seeking medical assistance to come across rumors sending them to the good doctor's doorstep.

Additionally, if your character is showing obvious signs of sickness or injury when she crosses paths with them, Elle will likely approach, fuss over them, and try to help.

healing the nefarious

Surprisingly, Eleanore also offers her services - off the record - to those of a less than lawful persuasion. However, this clientele she does not treat for free. She asks for two things: a hefty sum of gil and a paltry tithe of blood.

Despite the hefty and unusual price, her skills - particularly in surgery - remain in high demand amongst the criminally persuaded.

Though Eleanore does not particularly enjoy these clients, treating them does keep a finger on the pulse of the underground.. and eyes on those who might become prey, should their misdeeds stray too far into darkness.

Eleanore has little free time on her hands between her day job and her other work. But busy or not, her needs for goods, services, and general errands to be completed persists.

If your character is looking for work in the areas of alchemy, pharmaceuticals, gathering of reagents, crafting of medical tools, and the delivery of goods and messages, Elle might have a job for them.

Those who skulk about quiet streets in the dead of night may find themselves crossing paths with Eleanore.

If they're lucky, they'll meet before she's found her evening's meal. Otherwise, they might find themselves stumbling onto a horrific, bloody scene..

And if they're stalking the night on a hunt of their own? Well, they're the unluckiest of all..

voidhunter's quarry

Your character hunts the things that go bump in the night and, somehow, they have landed on Eleanore's trail. But when they find the good doctor at its end, do they stop to listen? Even so, do her reasons matter when she's naught but a monster herself?

And if they do decide that she cannot be suffered to live, what will they do when - some weeks or moons later - they cross paths again - decidedly not dead after all?

When you're as picky about your 'diet' as Eleanore is, there are times when suitable prey just isn't readily available. Regardless, a Nightkin still has to eat - especially one whose physical form is entirely dependent upon remaining well fed.

If your character has established enough of a rapport with Elle that she trusts them to be both open-minded and discreet, she might just ask for their help. Just a little donation to help her get by, if you would be so kind. You'll only feel a bit woozy and tired after. Her Patron would never let her take more than you are willing to give, she promises.

In return, your character may witness a side of the cheerful, gentle woman that not many ever see. At least, not those who live to tell the tale afterward..

aetheric oddity

For those who have the ability to see or sense aether, Eleanore's is quite peculiar and likely to grab their attention.

Its hue is an inky, ominous black yet it radiates no malice or malignance. Even more strange, when studied carefully, one might catch fleeting glimpses of something else at its core: a pure, radiant, and beautiful light.

At times, if one happens upon her in a particularly fatigued state, the may notice that her usually vibrant aether is also unusually translucent and thin.. almost as if she isn't actually physically there.

the maven of memory

Lachesis - the Voidsent bound to Eleanore - may be recognizable to other Voidsent or those who otherwise have knowledge of the Thirteenth's notable denizens.

The Maven of Memory, as they were once known, resided in a fortress-like domain of their making where none but a scant, select few other Voidsent were granted entry. Theirs was an enigmatic existence, seemingly driven by inscrutable motives beyond the mere devouring of aether and amassing of power. That is, until they suddenly disappeared one day, releasing the many souls they had devoured in their millennia of existence. But none among them could seem to recall what had happened.

Common sense would dictate that the Maven must have fallen prey to another. But then.. here they are, on this side of the veil, and with no less mystery to their motives.

(1) Planned ships and quick romances are a pass! Any romance will have to develop organically over a realistic amount of time.

(2) Long-term character dynamics that are wholly or almost exclusively sexually driven. I love a bit of smut as much as the next person, but I expect there to be more meat to a long-term interaction than constantly doing the horizontal tango.

(3) Permanent death and disfigurement. While I am open to temporary character death and disfigurement given Eleanore's habit of not staying dead like normal people do when suffering fatal injuries, I do ask for a heads up first.
